Soccer

The Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Department of Leisure Services offers soccer for youth ages 5-15 years (age prior to September 1).

Registration begins in July and ends in early August - please check with DLS for specific dates. For Ben Hill County residents, the registration fee is $40/child (non-Ben Hill County resident is an additional $10). The registration fee includes team jersey. Parents will need to provide athletic shorts and shoes. Soccer cleats and shin guards are optional.

If registering after the deadline, a $10 late fee will be incurred. At that point, your child may be placed on a waitlist and may or may not be placed on a team based on available spaces. No payment will be collected until your child is placed on a team.

Team practices begin in August & September with games played during September & October. Practices are held at several city parks with games held at Lions Park (ages 5-8) and Paulk Park (ages 9-14).

You can make a difference in your community by volunteering to be a coach for a youth soccer team.

To register for soccer, come to the DLS office beginning in July through early August (check with DLS for specific dates) between 8am-5pm with the following:

Completed Registration, Liability Form, & COVID19 Release Form.
If not already in our files, a copy of certified birth certificate or certified birth certificate for us to copy.
Form of payment (note: after registration deadline - $10 late fee assessed, possible waitlist)
- checks - payable to "City of Fitzgerald"
- major credit/debit cards - Any transaction under $100.00 will be charged a service charge of $2.99. All transactions over $100.00 will have a service charge of 3.5%.
If your child has participated in a DLS sport before, don't forget to sign the book while you're in the office to verify your current contact information and complete the registration process.
