Baseball & T-Ball

The Fitzgerald-Ben Hill Department of Leisure Services offers baseball for boys ages 7-16 (age prior to September 1) and coed T-Ball for ages 5-6 (age prior to September 1).

Registration begins in February - please check with DLS for specific dates. For Ben Hill County residents, the registration fee is $40/child (non-Ben Hill County resident is an additional $10). The registration fee includes a team jersey, a hat, umpires, scorekeepers, bats, and balls. Parents will need to provide gloves, pants, and rubber cleats.

If registering after the deadline, a $10 late fee will be incurred. At that point, your child may be placed on a waitlist and may or may not be placed on a team based on available spaces. No payment will be collected until your child is placed on a team.

Team practices begin in March with regular season games played April-June. Games and practices are held at Paulk Park Ball Fields & Lions Park. GRPA baseball tournament competitions are in June-July.

You can make a difference in your community by volunteering to be a coach for a youth baseball or T-ball team. And if your child is on a baseball travel team, be sure to read and comply with the Travel Team Policy.

To register for baseball or T-Ball, come to the DLS office beginning in February between 8am-5pm with the following:

Completed Registration, Liability Form, & COVID19 Release Form.
If not already in our files, a copy of certified birth certificate or certified birth certificate for us to copy.
Form of payment (note: after registration deadline - $10 late fee assessed, possible waitlist)
- checks - payable to "City of Fitzgerald"
- major credit/debit cards - Any transaction under $100.00 will be charged a service charge of $2.99. All transactions over $100.00 will have a service charge of 3.5%.
If your child has participated in a DLS sport before, don't forget to sign the book while you're in the office to verify your current contact information and complete the registration process.

Deadline:	Registration begins in February - please check with DLS for specific dates

Practices/Games:	Practice begins in March. Games are played April-June. GRPA baseball competitions: District in June, State in July.
Meets at:	Paulk Park & Lions Park (based on age)
