Fishing at Fitzgerald's Paulk Park & Beyond

Because Fitzgerald sits on top of one of the largest freshwater aquifers in America, ponds and lakes are plentiful. ​The Fitzgerald-Ben Hill DLS maintains a 5-acre lake at Paulk Park stocked with bream, largemouth bass, and catfish for your fishing pleasure.  Whether fishing from the shoreline or in your small boat, you can relax knowing your day is about to get better. Fishing license required.​

Additionally, the Ocmulgee River flows a mere ten miles north of the city limits.
