  • ​​Immunizations, blood tests, hearing, vision, and dental screenings; tuberculosis, cancer, blood pressure and blood sugar screenings; head lice checks, and pregnancy tests are all available through the General Clinic. Services are provided by protocoled public health nurses. Referrals to specialty programs are made as needed.
  • Blood pressure monitoring, medication management, and counseling on weight loss, diet and exercise are available through the Hypertension Program, if eligible.
  • Immunizations are available for all ages. At your request, the health department will also provide adult flu and pneumonia vaccines on-site at your businesses.
  • If an individual suspects they have a sexually transmitted infection, physical exams, lab tests, treatment and follow-up is provided through the STD program. Counseling and testing for persons who are at risk for contracting the HIV virus is also available. Follow up services including comprehensive outpatient primary care and case management is available to persons with HIV/AIDS.
  • Provides for the screening of lead, medical and/ or developmental problems in children who do not have a healthcare provider.
  • Medicaid covers from infancy to the 21st birthday and PeachCare covers up to age 19.

  • Breast & Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) is designed for women ages 40-64 who are uninsured or under insured to detect early cancer and pre-cancers of the breast and cervix. This program provides at no cost to eligible women, a limited annual exam including a Pap test, as needed. It also provides a mammogram and diagnostic follow up if needed. Breast cancer gene screening is available to anyone at no cost.
  • Blood pressure monitoring, medication management, and counseling on weight loss, diet and exercise are available through the Hypertension Program, if eligible.
  • Physical exams, birth control, STD and pregnancy testing, education and counseling regarding health issues.
