As Mayor of Fitzgerald, I would like to extend to you a warm welcome and a short introduction to our community. Fitzgerald is unique among rural south Georgia towns in that we combine a thriving commerce center with a strong agricultural -, manufacturing-, and tourism-based economy.

Though Ben Hill County is small in land area, we provide agricultural services and marketing for a three-county area. We also support forty-eight local manufacturing operations and draw employees from several surrounding counties.

We are extremely proud of our unique heritage and the perspective it gives us. Fitzgerald recently celebrated one hundred years of unity and cooperation among peoples of diverse backgrounds, truly demonstrating that we are "The City Where America Reunited."
